Have you already signed up for your Summer Youth Program course? That's great because your next step is here! Within the next few weeks you can expect to receive your confirmation packet in the mail. Keep reading to find out what that packet includes, as well as what to expect before arriving at Michigan Tech for your summer adventure!

Confirmation packets for SYP contain some really important information for you as a camper, like the Participant Confirmation form. We ask you to send this form back to us after you have verfied that all your information, including email addresses, phone numbers, and transportation plans. If you have corrections to make to this, great! Just be sure that we get it so we are up-to-date.

A few other forms we need back include the Community Standards form, Parental Consent form, and Health History forms. Community standards are our expectations of you as a guest on our campus; we like to keep Michigan Tech friendly and clean. The parental consent form includes releases as well as the roommate request. Finally the health history forms give us pertinent information about health insurance, medication and other health needs.

Signatures are required on all of the forms, so be sure to sign and date each one before sending it back to our office by mail to 1400 Townsend Dr, Houghton, MI 49931, by fax to 906-487-1136 or by email to

After the Confirmation Packet, you can expect to receive your Welcome Packet a few weeks before your program begins. This will include information about checking in and out, the campus, and what to pack.

If you have questions about any of the information you receive from us, please feel free to contact us by commenting on this post below, by email or by phone at 906-487-2219. We're always happy to help!
